Offsite Pilates
Developed by physiotherapists, the Clinical Pilates programme pioneered the link between recent spinal stability research and the original work of Joseph Pilates. Core stabilization training and muscle efficiency are key factors that have been identified by researchers and addressed by the Clinical Pilates approach. The result is a body that works more efficiently. Our group classes are designed to incorporate the principles of Clinical Pilates into your employees’ ongoing physical healthcare.
What are the benefits?
Increase productivity, reduce or prevent low back pain and improve staff morale.
Decrease absenteeism rates by up to 23%.
Safe injury management & greater resistance to injury
Correction of poor mechanics that underlie injuries
An overall feeling of physical wellbeing, improved posture, balance & motor control.
Class times, sizes and length are flexible to your needs; Depending on the space available we can accommodate up to 12 people per class and 30, 45 or 60 minute classes can be arranged. We are flexible with our times so if you suggest some appropriate times for classes we can try our best to facilitate that.
Different employers have had different approaches for signing up, we have found that people attend more consistently and therefore can progress more steadily if signing up for a course of classes (e.g. 6, 10 or 12 weeks).
The only equipment needed is a mat, if these are not provided by the employer we ask participants to bring their own.
The only other requirement is to complete a screening form, to be completed by all participants prior to commencing classes. If potential problems are identified participants may be asked to attend for a physiotherapy review prior to commencing classes.
